This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

VA Careers - Licensed Clinical Social Worker: https://youtube.com/embed/U_xC25QsN0w Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Duties include but are not limited to: Provides full range of clinical services, including crisis intervention, suicide risk evaluations and safety planning, case management, individual and group psychotherapy for Veterans with serious mental illness and other mental health related concerns. Crisis intervention may take place in person throughout the medical center, over telephone, or other modalities. Serves as a resource to program managers and staff on implementation of recovery oriented services. Provides case consultation on complex cases, and ensures that the recovery model is incorporated throughout care and individualized to each Veteran. Serves as subject matter expert for medical center staff on the recovery model and how it is incorporated into a wide rage of patient care issues including development or evaluation of recovery model intervention programs. Develops a facility wide ongoing recovery model education plan for dissemination for providers, veterans and their families. The ongoing plan may include didactic presentation about elements of recovery, presentation by experts or recovering individuals, coordination of large scale training efforts, and creation of resource guides, promotional materials and printed information. Develops, sustains, and aligns the facility Recovery Transformation/Sustainment Strategic Plan, driving person-catered recovery-oriented care throughout the medical center and COCs. In conjunction with the Mental Health Committee, develops, leads and or participates in the local MH strategic plan that identifies the staged implementation of recovery services implementation and program outcome evaluation processes. Serves as the consultant to MH programs in development of peer support services, consumer counseling and consumer operated services. Advises the facility MH leadership and the MH council developing peer specialist positions and may serve as a senior consultant to peer specialists. Coordination with the VISN 9 for the Recovery Program and may serve as a point of contact to the National Recovery Advisory Committee. Leader and participant in facility and community committees as a Subject Matter Expert on serious mental illness and psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery. Provide consultation to VA medical facility Inpatient Mental Health Services (IMHS) staff regarding recovery-oriented care, including education and training as needed. This includes review of policies, procedures, staff trainings, Veteran treatment materials, and other components of IMHS at least annually. In collaboration with the VA medical facility Inpatient Mental Health Program Manager, develop a local Standard Operating Procedure addressing the education, staff training and implementation of recovery-oriented care on the inpatient mental health unit. Provides outreach, teaching, and training to the Medical Center and CBOC staff members, Veterans, family members and community at large, about recovery-oriented care and strategies to support recovery-oriented treatment.
