Assistant General Manager & Event Coordinator

Sea Creatures Restaurant Group, from Chef Renee Erickson, is looking for an Assistant General Manager & Event Coordinator for Westward!We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented team player who is eager to learn. Humor, compassion, professionalism, and a strong work ethic are all necessary components of the job. Westward is seeking a hospitality professional who can coordinate and organize private dinners and special events, while establishing and maintaining high levels of service under pressure and providing a positive guest experience.This is a full-time, salary, exempt position: Salary range for the position: $81,000 to $85,000 per yearSea Creatures is looking for team members who bring creativity, genuine generosity, and enthusiasm to the workplace.Minimum of 3 years' prior experience in a leadership position.He has a creative and collaborative leadership approach.Experience in planning and/or executing events in a restaurant is an advantagePositive verbal communication skills Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.Knowledge of foods, drink recipes, local, European and Baja California wines and liquors.Practical knowledge of point of sale (POS) systems: Toast preferred.Experience in managing and leading team members through service.Practices a practical and present leadership approach, leading by example.Knowledge of restaurant financial procedures, including: menu costs and prices, purchasing and inventory procedures.Ability to use Excel.Ability to perform with confidence and efficiency, quickly and elegantly.Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and spend up to six hours standing or walking.Flexible availability including nights and weekends.At Sea Creatures, our employees are our greatest asset.
