Senator Edward J. Markey seeks a Congressional Aide for his Boston office. Responsibilities include managing a significant casework portfolio, liaising with federal agencies, attending meetings and events with stakeholders, conducting outreach, some advance functions (including some nights and weekends), and assisting with various special projects. Applicants must be organized, detail-oriented, and have a strong interest in public service and assisting constituents. In addition, applicants should have at least a Bachelor’s degree, and excellent oral and written communication skills. Candidates from BIPOC, LGBT+, working class, military, and/or other underrepresented communities are strongly encouraged to apply. Ties to Massachusetts and additional language skills strongly preferred. The salary for this position is $64,226 annually, with benefits that include a federal student loan repayment option.
