The question is — will you change with it? For decades, physical therapists have been placed in a reactive role—treating symptoms after someone else makes the diagnosis. We believe the future of musculoskeletal medicine is different. At Modern PT, our mission is to put physical therapists back at the center of musculoskeletal care. That means PTs who can evaluate, identify pathology, guide care, and coordinate with physicians when necessary. In our model, physical therapists are not just treating injuries. They are leading the care of musculoskeletal patients. Who This Role Is For This position is for the physical therapist who: • Wants to think like a clinician, not just follow protocols • Believes PTs should be able to determine what’s actually wrong • Is curious about diagnosis, imaging, and clinical reasoning • Wants to collaborate with sports medicine physicians and orthopedic surgeons • Wants to grow into leadership, not just clock in and treat patients If you want to practice the same way PT has been practiced for the last 30 years, this probably isn’t the job for you. But if you want to be part of where physical therapy is going, keep reading. What Makes This Position Different We train our PTs to become musculoskeletal specialists who can evaluate injuries with a higher level of clinical clarity. As part of this role, you will complete a $30,000 Diagnostic Musculoskeletal Ultrasound training program. This allows you to develop the skills to: • Perform advanced musculoskeletal evaluations • Use diagnostic ultrasound to assess soft tissue pathology • Develop a working diagnosis • Know when imaging is necessary • Coordinate care with sports medicine physicians • Identify when a patient should be referred to orthopedic surgery We believe the PT of the future needs these skills. Your Role You will: • Evaluate and treat patients with musculoskeletal conditions • Develop diagnosis-driven treatment plans • Integrate ultrasound imaging into clinical decision making • Collaborate with sports medicine doctors and specialists • Guide patients through their full care journey—not just rehab exercises Growth Opportunity For PTs interested in leadership, this role includes a fast track to learn the business side of physical therapy. High-performing clinicians will have the opportunity to develop into a Clinic Director, learning how to: • Lead a clinical team • Build referral relationships • Grow and operate a successful clinic Compensation • $85,000 – $90,000 base salary • $30,000 Diagnostic Ultrasound Training Program • Leadership development pathway • Continuing education • Collaborative sports medicine network The Future of PT Needs Leaders The profession is evolving. The PTs who succeed in the next decade will be the ones who can think diagnostically, collaborate medically, and lead musculoskeletal care. If that excites you, we’d love to talk. Apply today and help us change the future of physical therapy.
