Hardware Sales Associate

Full-Time Sales Associate — 2 Openings Crown Hardware & Plumbing Supply | Milwaukee, WI Pay: $20/hr+ depending on experience Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM–4:15 PM | 2 Saturdays per month (overtime approved) About the Role Crown Hardware & Plumbing Supply has been serving Milwaukee since 1957. We're a family-owned hardware and plumbing supply store trusted by homeowners, plumbers, and contractors — and we're looking for two experienced sales associates to join our team. This is a primarily customer-facing role where your product knowledge makes the difference. You'll help customers find the right plumbing and hardware items, handle retail transactions, and support warehouse and showroom operations. Responsibilities • Assist customers with sales, returns, and exchanges using our point-of-sale system • Consult with customers to identify the correct plumbing and hardware products for their project • Collaborate with senior staff on technical questions beyond your current expertise • Pick and fulfill orders from warehouse and showroom inventory • Restock shelves and assist with general warehouse tasks as needed Preferred Experience • Experience in retail hardware sales (Home Depot, Menards, Lowe's, or similar) • (or) Background in property management or the trades (plumbing, HVAC, etc.) • Outgoing, people-first personality — this is a customer-facing role • Demonstrated job tenure — we value candidates who stick around • Genuine working knowledge of hardware and plumbing products Who you are not • Individuals with no hardware experience or knowledge • Individuals who are not comfortable being customer facing This position requires occasional lifting up to 40 lbs and occasionally being on ladders up to 6 feet. Team lifts are used for anything heavier than 40 lbs. Pay: From $20.00 per hour Work Location: In person
