Event Barista – Specialty Coffee & Matcha (Conference / SF)

Job Overview blumbru is a chef-led specialty coffee and matcha hospitality company hiring experienced event baristas for upcoming conference activations in San Francisco. Conference Dates: June 1–3 and June 16–18, 2026 Availability for all event days is preferred. This is not a traditional café position — this role supports fast-paced conference and brand activation environments focused on hospitality, guest experience, and high-volume beverage service. We are looking for hospitality-forward baristas with strong customer service skills and experience working in fast-paced, high-volume coffee environments. The ideal candidate is professional, efficient under pressure, and confident interacting with guests throughout busy conference service. Responsibilities • Prepare and serve espresso and matcha beverages efficiently while maintaining consistency and presentation standards • Deliver warm, professional guest interaction throughout service • Maintain clean, organized, and guest-ready workflow during high-volume service periods • Assist with setup, breakdown, restocking, and maintaining overall service flow • Work collaboratively with the team to support smooth event execution • Follow cleanliness, food safety, and food handling standards throughout service • Maintain professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail during fast-paced conference environments Requirements • Previous specialty coffee or high-volume espresso bar experience required • Matcha experience is a plus • Strong customer service and hospitality skills with the ability to engage confidently with guests in fast-paced event environments • Ability to maintain calm, efficient workflow during peak service periods • Comfortable working early mornings, extended event shifts, and high-volume conference environments • Strong time management and communication skills • Reliable, punctual, and professional • Comfortable standing for extended periods and working long event days • Event, catering, or conference experience is a plus This role offers the opportunity to support premium conference and brand activation environments while working alongside a hospitality-focused specialty coffee team.
