Director of Medical Billing Healthcare Revenue Cycle Leadership Opportunity Are you a strategic, hands-on Revenue Cycle leader who knows how to build high-performing billing operations, improve cash flow, and lead teams through growth and transformation? Our healthcare organization is seeking a dynamic Director of Medical Billing to lead and optimize all medical billing and reimbursement operations across the organization. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, maximizing revenue performance, improving billing accuracy, and creating scalable processes that support continued growth. We are looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced healthcare environments, understands the full revenue cycle, and can lead both strategy and execution. What You’ll Be Responsible For • Lead all medical billing, coding coordination, claims processing, collections, and reimbursement functions • Oversee end-to-end Revenue Cycle operations to improve cash flow, reduce denials, and maximize reimbursement • Develop and implement billing strategies, KPIs, dashboards, and operational processes • Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payer requirements, HIPAA, and healthcare billing regulations • Manage denial management, appeals, underpayments, and AR reduction initiatives • Partner closely with executive leadership, finance, operations, and clinical teams • Evaluate and improve billing systems, workflows, and automation opportunities • Lead, mentor, and develop billing managers and revenue cycle staff • Analyze billing trends, reimbursement data, and operational performance metrics to drive decision-making • Support organizational growth initiatives, acquisitions, integrations, and process improvement efforts What We’re Looking For • 7+ years of progressive healthcare billing and revenue cycle leadership experience • Strong understanding of: • Medical billing operations • Claims management • Insurance reimbursement • Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) • Denials and appeals • Healthcare compliance • Experience leading teams in multi-site or growing healthcare organizations preferred • Strong operational leadership and process improvement mindset • Ability to work cross-functionally with executive leadership and operational stakeholders • Experience with EMR/EHR and healthcare billing platforms • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving capabilities • Excellent communication and leadership skills Preferred Background • Healthcare provider organization experience • Multi-specialty, physician practice, outpatient, behavioral health, or healthcare services experience highly preferred • Experience scaling or transforming billing operations • Bachelor’s degree preferred Why This Opportunity Stands Out • High-impact leadership role with executive visibility • Opportunity to improve and modernize billing operations • Growth-oriented healthcare organization • Collaborative leadership team • Strong culture focused on patient care and operational excellence • Competitive compensation + bonus opportunity
