Part Time Assistant Baker

PT Shifts AvailableSincerely, Bagel is located in the Kerns neighborhood in Portland, OR. We are a small but busy bagel shop and produce our bagels in-house within our facility. We offer sourdough bagels, schmears, open face sandwiches, breakfast egg sandwiches and offer a full specialty coffee/tea menu. We are open every day except for Tuesday. Our team is growing! We are seeking a candidate who commercial bakery/kitchen experience for at least 1 year. Professional references are a must. This will initially be a part time role but if you are the right fit, opportunities for more hours are possible in the future.Duties include but are not limited to:Baking and prepping bagels for morning store opening utilizing commercial oven and prooferProperly maintain, clean and wash all used equipment and tools (open and close procedures)Working within our proper safety standardsConsistent, punctual and reliable attendanceMaintaining our quality standards, controls and proceduresAttention to detail, willingness to learn, team player with helpful attitude and demeanorCollaborate with management along with our team lead to ensure production goals are metProductive and efficient during work hours and makes sure all tasks are completedFollow company policies and proceduresLight prep work and other bakery production work will also be requiredQualifications:Current OR Food Handlers Card1-year commercial baking / kitchen experienceMust be reliable. Eager to learn new things.Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentAssist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and suppliesHave the ability to do a fast paced, physical jobDisplay a helpful attitude; with the ability to work well alone and as part of a teamTeam player, strong work ethic, professional and mature attitudeWillingness to grow with the businessTraining will be provided - must be able to follow the business' processes and procedures
