Currently we are looking for a Smoothie Associate to work at our Beverage Bar in the New York City location. Job Function: Beverage Bar – Smoothie Production Job Level: Associate Employment Status: Part Time Non-Exempt About the Position We are searching for a Smoothie Associate to support the Happier Bar team. This role is dedicated to smoothie production and operational support. The Smoothie Associate plays a critical behind-the-scenes role in ensuring consistency, speed, cleanliness, and proper stocking of all smoothie ingredients and supplies. This position has little to no direct customer service responsibilities and is focused primarily on preparation, production, organization, and maintaining operational excellence. The Happier Beverage Bar, which offers smoothies, coffee, and wellness drinks, is an essential element of Happier Grocery. The Smoothie Associate will work closely with the Barista Team to ensure seamless service flow, consistent product execution, and a clean, fully stocked workspace at all times. What You Will Do • Prepare and blend smoothies accurately and efficiently according to recipes • Pre-portion ingredients and complete daily prep for smoothie service • Wash, cut, and organize fresh produce and other ingredients • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all blenders, tools, prep areas, and storage areas • Stock smoothie station with ingredients, cups, lids, and operational supplies • Monitor inventory levels and communicate low stock to management • Receive, label, and properly store deliveries • Ensure strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards • Support the bar team with operational needs during peak hours • Stand for extended periods during shift • Lift and transport heavy items including produce cases and supply boxes • Maintain organized refrigeration and dry storage areas • Comply with all health and safety regulations What You Will Bring • Experience in a kitchen, smoothie bar, juice bar, or food production environment preferred • Strong attention to detail and commitment to recipe consistency • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment • Strong organizational skills • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Interest in wellness ingredients, fresh produce, and functional foods is a plus • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Qualifications • Preferred 1–2 years experience in food prep, smoothie production, or similar role • Food Handlers Certificate • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards • Ability to lift and carry heavy items • Ability to stand for long periods of time • Strong organizational and time management skills • Ability to multitask and maintain high production standards • Reliable and punctual At Happier Management, we provide a fair and equal employment opportunity for all candidates regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, age, marital status, disability, or any other legally protected characteristic.
