Organization: CPMC-California Pacific Med Center - Mission Bernal Position Overview: Provides clerical and receptionist duties in a nursing unit. Responsible for knowing the philosophy, objectives, and policies of the Medical Center. Contributes to the development and maintenance of a communication system that promotes positive intra and interdepartmental working relationships. Job Description: EDUCATION • Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. • HS Diploma CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider preferred PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN: • Recent experience or education as a Ward Clerk in health care environment or equivalent. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE • Basic computer skills required. • Knowledge of English language w/strong written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, problem solve and meet deadlines • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills in a diverse population. • Training skills required. • Basic keyboarding and computer skills • Must be able to work in a rapidly changing and challenging environment and take appropriate actions in emergent situations.
