The primary purpose of this position, SUPERVISORY FIRE PROTECTION INSPECTOR, GS-0081-11 is to serve as Assistant Chief for Fire Prevention planning, directing, and coordinating all activities of the technical services program including a comprehensive inspection program of all on base facilities to detect and eliminate hazards in a high fire expectancy area. Major Duties: -As the Assistant Chief of Technical Services, participate in the administration and planning of a comprehensive fire prevention program at the installation. -Plan, administer, and supervise the fire prevention education program. -Review construction and modification plans, confer with engineers, and provide technical/functional assistance on fire prevention and building design criteria. -Perform supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
