Licensed Behavioral Health Counselor-CONTINGENT-Detroit

Department: Eastwood Behavioral-Detroit CONTINGENT- approximately 20 hours per week- flexible scheduling with a minimum of 1 evening per week; Clinic is open Monday- Friday 9:00am-6:00pm- NO weekends or major holidays. No benefits are associated with this position We are seeking a licensed behavioral health provider with an active license of LPC, LMSW, or LP in the state of Michigan. CAADC is preferred but not required. Children/Adolescent experience is preferred. Being able to work at least 1 evening per week is desired but not required. This is a pay per service position- 55% for Full Licensed. GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides behavioral health counseling services. Responsibilities: • Conducts patient assessments and establishes therapy treatment goals. • Administers individual and group therapy. Maintains thorough and confidential records of observations. • Evaluates progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions. • Provides patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community. • Works directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - • Master's Degree with at least 3 years' experience in the field of counseling, social work or psychology CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED • One or more of the following required: • Licensed Master Social Worker credentialed from the Michigan Board of Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office. • Licensed Counselor credentialed from the Michigan Board of Counseling obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office. • Licensed Psychologist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Psychology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office. • Therapist specializing in Marriage & Family obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Any issuing authority accepted. Verified by local Credentialing Office. • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association accepted. • Experience working with Children & Adolescents preferred
