Cash Application Specialist

Dagen is recruiting a temp to perm Cash Application Specialist for an oil & gas services company in Sugar Land, TX. General Summary The Cash Applications Analyst responsible for posting and reconciliation of all incoming payments to customer accounts on a daily basis in order to manage and monitor the organizational cash flow. Essential Job Functions • Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern • Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to the company’s Core Values • Determines cash requirements • Performs daily cash postings to ensure prompt and accurate recording of payments to customer accounts including payments made by credit card, lockbox, ACH and wires • Codes expenses, verifies and pays invoices, receives and posts receipts, reconciles balances and maintains records • Reconciles and analyzes bank accounts on a regular basis and monitors cash flow • Responds to inquiries from vendors or payers and researches and resolves concerns or discrepancies • Monitors cash flow and reports analysis results to higher level management Job Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent required • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a professional finance role • Experience in AX, OneStream and MS Office preferred • Travel requirement: 0% - 25%
