Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Anesthetist)

About the Position: This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Major Duties: Anesthetize patients for a broad range of surgery to include but not limited to pediatric surgery; Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT); Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN); orthopedics; oral maxillofacial surgery, and Gastrointestinal (GI) procedures.,Administer anesthetics to patients by inhalation, regional, intravenous, local, or topical means.,Determine the appropriate anesthetic agent and method of administering the agent.,Monitor patients' fluid loss.,Supervise and monitor the quality of anesthesia care administered by the student nurse anesthetists.,Assist in the implementation of the Anesthesia Performance Improvement Program. Education: FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
