Sticky Fingers Cooking® provides paid hands-on training and individualized support.WHAT YOU\'LL BE DOINGThis summer, you\'ll be teaching hands-on cooking classes at some of New York City\'s most exciting camps and enrichment programs — including a major new partnership serving 800+ campers across two NYC locations.Classes are fast-paced, fun, and globally inspired. At one of our camps the summer\'s curriculum is themed around the FIFA World Cup, featuring recipes from competing nations around the world. Every week is a new country, a new recipe, and a new adventure.In the fall, you may have the opportunity to continue as after-school enrichment instructors at NYC schools, community centers, and partner organizations.As a Chef Instructor, you will:Lead hands-on cooking classes for children ages 4-14, ranging from 40 to 90 minutes per session, with multiple sessions per day depending on the program.Teach groups of 12-20 kids with the support of on-site counselors or staffBring the kitchen to the kids — we provide all equipment, ingredients, and suppliesTeach basic kitchen skills: washing, cutting, grating, stirring, measuring, and moreWeave in food history, geography, science, and world cultures with every recipeShop independently for fresh ingredients each weekCommunicate reliably with our team before and after each sessionQUALIFICATIONSAvailable to start mid to late June 2026 — summer availability is essentialAvailability at least 2-3 days per week (weekday mornings and afternoons)Commitment to teaching full sessionsServSafe Food Handler Certification (can be obtained before before teaching)Ability to manage and engage groups of 12-20 children with diverse backgroundsUpon hire, must pass a thorough background checkAccess to reliable transportationPunctual, reliable, and a strong communicatorNo professional cooking experience required — passion for food and kids is what matters!Experience working with children of varying ages is a plusSummer camp experience is a big plusABOUT STICKY FINGERS COOKING®Since 2011, Sticky Fingers Cooking® has taught over ONE MILLION children in schools, camps, and community centers across the country.
