Summer Teacher Assistant / Counselor

Veranda Montessori is a small, half-day Montessori preschool serving children aged 3-6 years old. Located in North Seattle, the school is dedicated to providing a high-fidelity Montessori education in a home like setting. We're looking for a teacher assistant / counselor to join our summer camp team! This is a paid position working alongside our lead teachers, helping with activities, projects, and all the joyful chaos that comes with a room full of young children exploring and creating. Job Duties: • Supervision and safety of the children • Modeling behavior, tone setting, and redirecting as needed • Handling transitions and classroom upkeep • Help with set up and closing procedures Other details: • Working hours 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday • Hourly rate: $22 - $24 DOE • We're looking for commitment for full weeks • Paid 4h onboarding during the second week of July required Requirements: • Previous experience working with children • First Aid / CPR certification required • Proof of being able to legally work in the USA • 2 references from non family members • Job offers will be contingent on verifying your references and passing a background check Previous experiences that highlight your leadership and responsiblity a plus. Spanish fluency a super plus.
