Role Overview & Responsibilities As a UPS Sunrise Sort Warehouse Associate, you process remaining overnight volume and final preload functions during the critical pre-departure window inside our package center, ensuring every driver can depart on time with a complete, accurate load. • Overflow Sort Processing: Sort remaining overnight packages that exceeded the previous shift's sort capacity, accurately reading destination labels and routing parcels to the correct outbound lanes before the preload deadline. • Final Car Checks: Walk assigned package cars before driver departure, verifying that all packages are scanned, load quality meets UPS standards, and no oversized or air packages are misloaded in ground positions. • Air Package Priority Sweep: Conduct a final audit of the sort floor for any UPS Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air packages that did not clear the overnight sort, escalating any found air commits to the supervisor for immediate priority routing.
