The Production Worker is responsible for completing specific tasks or producing items on a piece-rate basis. This role requires efficiency, attention to detail, and adherence to quality standards. The worker is compensated based on the quantity and quality of work produced.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Production: Perform tasks or produce items according to the specifications provided. Tasks may include assembly, packaging, or other job-specific duties.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all work meets the company’s quality standards. Inspect finished products for defects and make necessary corrections.
- Efficiency: Work at a consistent pace to maximize output without compromising quality. Track and report the number of pieces completed daily.
- Maintenance: Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Report any malfunctions or required repairs to the supervisor.
- Safety: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
-Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Record-Keeping: Accurately record the number of pieces produced and any issues encountered during production. Submit records to the supervisor as required.
- Collaboration: Work cooperatively with other team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
Duties:
-Assemble components using hand tools and power tools according to specifications.
-Operate machinery and equipment safely and effectively within the manufacturing facility.
-Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
-Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow on the assembly line.
-Fabricate parts as needed, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
-Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment in the warehouse or factory setting.
Requirements:
-Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
-Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use various hand tools and power tools effectively.
-Familiarity with assembly line processes and techniques is a plus.
-Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
-Forklift certification is advantageous but not mandatory; training may be provided.
-Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
-Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
