Job Description
This role involves evaluating finished products for quality and acceptability, performing necessary analyses according to product specifications, and maintaining compliance with documentation requirements. The position requires communication with various teams regarding product quality issues and ensuring all analysis results and batch information are properly logged.
Responsibilities
• Evaluate finished products for quality and acceptability.
• Perform necessary analyses in accordance with product specifications.
• Communicate product quality issues to relevant teams including Production Supervisors, Production Managers, QC Manager, and others.
• Log analysis test results and batch information in the I-Series (AS400) and maintain analysis records for documentation compliance.
• Monitor line equipment for functionality, safety, and cleanliness.
• Check metal detectors (CCP), magnets, scales and conduct critical control point and GMP audits.
• Assist in foreign material and product non-conformance investigations.
• Perform batch set-up checks, assist in correcting set-ups, and log discrepancies.
• Place and release products on hold as necessary.
• Reject products and complete rejection forms including root cause and corrective action analysis.
• Check allergen clean out effectiveness as needed.
• Perform Pre-Op audits when necessary, such as when equipment is down for maintenance.
• Conduct production scale checks and lab equipment calibration based on the schedule.
• Collect micro samples and place micro hold products on hold.
• Perform special tasks as assigned and maintain sample area and control sample file.
• Follow all GMPs and Safety Procedures.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma
• Experience in food manufacturing quality control.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $22.55/hr.
