Print Shop Assistant

Image Plus Printing, a locally owned commercial printing company, is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Print Shop Assistant to join our team full time. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and wants to learn all aspects of the printing business. The ideal candidate will have previous print shop experience and be comfortable helping with digital printing, bindery, pre-press, basic graphics, and general shop duties. Responsibilities include: • Operating Xerox digital color printers or similar digital production equipment • Assisting with bindery and finishing, including cutting, folding, stapling, binding, laminating, drilling, trimming, and packaging • Preparing files for print production and checking artwork for accuracy • Creating simple graphics and layouts, such as business cards, signs, flyers, labels, and basic marketing materials • Assisting with signage, print orders, and general production tasks • Performing quality checks to ensure printed materials meet customer expectations • Helping keep the production area organized, clean, and efficient • Learning and assisting in all areas of the print shop as needed Ideal qualifications: • Previous experience in a commercial print shop, copy center, sign shop, or similar production environment • Experience operating Xerox, Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Canon, or similar digital color printers • Knowledge of bindery, finishing, and general print production • Basic pre-press knowledge, including PDF files, bleeds, margins, crops, and print-ready artwork • Ability to create simple layouts and make minor customer-requested revisions • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite / Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus, especially Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat • Strong attention to detail and quality • Ability to follow instructions, manage multiple jobs, and meet deadlines • Dependable, punctual, organized, and willing to learn • Comfortable standing, lifting, moving paper, boxes, signs, and other production materials What we offer: • Full-time position • Opportunity to learn all aspects of the commercial printing business • Variety of work—digital printing, signs, graphics, bindery, pre-press, and customer projects • Locally owned, team-oriented work environment • Pay commensurate with experience Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour Work Location: In person
