Summary:
Identify, qualify and close sales opportunities in industrial and academic accounts for AntBioproducts, in order to meet the regional sales target. Create and manage sales and marketinginitiatives, incorporating current and evolving customer requirements. Provide field basedtechnical product introductions and application communications to the potential customers,presenting on-site drug discovery assay seminars, supporting technical product demos andtrouble-shootings. The ideal candidate should work under minimal supervision and utilizestandard procedures and processes to establish and execute both sales plan and applicationpromotions. Extensive travel domestically and, upon occasion, internationally; attendance atindustry related meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist achievement of both top and bottom line objectives for the portfolio.Identify, qualify and close sales opportunities and enlarge the customer base.
• Establish a network of scientific contacts in pharmaceutical companies andbiotechs to propose the drug discovery products and services. Develop newcustomers in the territory. Establish close relationship with clients.
• Coordinate sales order, logistics, and inventory management
• Provide primary source of market/customer intelligence to assist businessdevelopment strategy and to maximize company competitiveness and success.Communicate current and evolving customer needs to assist Research andDevelopment strategy.
• Prepare and implement sales forecasts in association with management tomaximize product line sales and business development.
• Identify promotional and other marketing support needs. Contribute to marketingplan development. Support trade show promotion by attendance at industryrelated meetings.
• Provide technical introductions to support business development initiatives,including providing technical presentations and demonstrations to guide thecustomers with more applications.
• Generate and maintain demonstration reports and monthly customer feedbackreports to provide record of customer development work.
Critical Success Factors:
1. Technical Skills
A science degree in a biology related major (Cell biology is preferred), Master ofBiological Sciences or Ph.D. desirable, decent drug discovery knowledge andbackground is a plus.
A minimum of three years’ experience working in a customer technical support,sales, or business development roles.
In depth knowledge of theoretical and applied cell-based assays (WB, ELISA,FACS, etc).
A solid understanding of the industry and market conditions affecting theterritory/product line(s).
Strong Computer skills, including Usage of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Pointand Graph Pad Prism.
