Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Payroll Accountant to support complex, high-volume payroll operations within a large enterprise environment. This role requires deep experience in multi-state payroll processing, tax reporting, and reconciliation, with the ability to quickly take ownership of tasks and operate independently. The position is based in Pittsburgh, PA, with a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite), and is expected to contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up time. Key Responsibilities: • Advanced Payroll Processing: Lead execution of complex payroll cycles, including multi-state and multi-entity payroll • Reconciliation & Issue Resolution: Analyze and resolve complex payroll discrepancies and ensure data accuracy • Tax & Compliance Leadership: Oversee payroll tax reporting and ensure compliance across jurisdictions • System Utilization: Work within enterprise payroll systems (ADP, Oracle) to manage and optimize processes • Operational Execution: Handle high-priority and time-sensitive payroll tasks with speed and accuracy • Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate across teams to resolve issues and improve processes Qualifications: • 7–10+ years of payroll experience • Strong experience with US payroll processing, tax reporting, and reconciliation • Experience managing payroll across multiple states and legal entities • Ability to work independently and deliver results quickly • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred Experience: • Experience with Oracle payroll systems • ADP SmartCompliance experience • Experience in large, in-house payroll environments Why Join Us: This is an opportunity to operate at a senior level within a high-impact payroll function, supporting complex enterprise payroll operations and contributing immediately to team success.
