Maintenance Mechanic

About the Job General Summary of Position Performs a variety of general mechanical and preventive maintenance on hospital equipment and facilities. Primary Duties and Responsibilities • Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations. • Carries out construction and renovation assignments in accordance with work order and specification. • Coordinates preventive maintenance with emergency and repair work activities. • Inspects assigned areas and responds to log book requests. • Maintains assigned inventory stocks tools and hardware. • Monitors conditions to ensure compliance with all safety codes and manufacturers specifications. • Performs general maintenance and repair of heating ventilating refrigeration cooling and air-conditioning systems and equipment of the hospital. • Performs preventive maintenance on a variety of mechanical systems. • Performs repairs on mechanical and electrical systems as directed. • Repairs building systems including roofs walls fixtures and trim. • Participates in meetings and on committees and represents the department and hospital in community outreach efforts as required and service improvement teams. • Performs other duties as assigned. Minimal Qualifications Education • High School Diploma or GED required Experience • 2 years related maintenance experience required Knowledge Skills and Abilities • Verbal and written communication skills. • Basic computer skills preferred. This position has a hiring range of USD $23.65 - USD $42.03 /Hr.
