About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Base Pool. This position is a FLEX position and is not guaranteed hours, may work 0 - 40 hours a week. May be required to work evenings, weekends or holidays. Applications will be reviewed every 2 weeks until close of this announcement. Major Duties: Observes swimming area to ensure safety of patrons. Ensures the swimming area is open to patrons at scheduled times and only authorized persons are admitted to the area. Rescues swimmers in trouble, promptly administers first aid, and calls for medical assistance if and when needed. Warns swimmers of unsafe environmental or health conditions, and recommends closing swimming areas until safe conditions prevail. May perform other related or incidental duties as assigned for the daily operation of the swimming area to include: cleaning of bath houses, wading pools, main pools, pool decks.
