RECREATON ASSISTANT (SWIM INSTRUCTOR)

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Base Pool at Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts This position is a FLEX position and is not guaranteed hours, may work 0 - 40 hours a week. May be required to work evenings, weekends or holidays. Applications will be reviewed every 2 weeks until close of this announcement. Major Duties: Provides swimming lessons and instruction to groups of adults and/or children, or to individual adults or children. Instructs patrons on rules and procedures for safe swimming. Works in swimming pool environment where lifeguards are present to perform lifesaving activity. Will assist lifeguards in inspecting pools for safe conditions, and perform other duties as assigned for the daily operation of the swimming pool to include: cleaning of bath houses, wading pools, main pools, pool decks & lifeguarding when not performing swim instruction..
